English 112 was a very big challenge for me, but then again
English has always been a weak area for me. To be very honest, I didn’t really enjoy any of the writing assignment.
Just writing papers in general knowing that I am going to be graded for my work puts a lot of stress on me. But, if I had
to choose an essay that was my favorite, I would have to choose Essay 2. Hence the reason I put it on my E-Portfolio.
I would have to say Essay 2 because I didn't really have a hard time finding the information to put in the essay.
The essay that gave me the most difficulty would have to
be Essay 3. I say Essay 3 because we only had three different topics to write about and those topics were really unfamiliar
to me. Also, another reason why Essay 3 was difficult for me was because of the amount of words that it needed to be. Once
I did start to get familiar with the topic itself the word count requirement just seemed so far away from what I actually
typed. But, to get passed that I just had to do a little more research.
English 112 has taught me things about reading, writing,
and thinking. As far as writing, it has taught me that if I really buckle down and read the assignment thoroughly and do a
lot of research I will be fine. As for being a critical thinker, it has taught me that I need to think outside of the
box sometimes and become a bit more creative with my writing. one of the most beneficial things that I learned in this class
was citing sources; which sources should be used and how to do in text citations.
Overall i really enjoyed the class, it was a great learnig
experience!Thank you M. Marits!
